Tilly the Tooth Fairy had a very important job: swap teeth for coins, and never wake a single child. But one night, as she flew over the moonlit houses, her wand slipped right out of her hand! Plink! It fell into a backyard garden.
"Oh no!" gasped Tilly. Without her wand, she couldn't make the coins appear. She landed in the garden and searched everywhere — under the rose bush, behind the watering can, inside the little birdhouse. No wand!
Then a firefly blinked at her. "Follow me," it seemed to say. Tilly followed the little golden light, and there, glowing under a lettuce leaf, was her wand!
Tilly thanked the firefly with a sparkle of fairy dust, flew to the waiting pillow, and left the coin. "Never forget," she whispered to herself, "even fairies need a little help sometimes."
