The Whispering Wallpaper
In a quiet house, the wallpaper whispered gentle stories at night — of dragons who napped and rivers that giggled.
A boy named Sam pressed his ear to the wall and listened every evening. He learned the wallpaper's secret: it told the dreams of the house.
One night Sam added his own whisper: 'Thank you, wall, for the stories.' The wallpaper blushed a softer pink.
The house felt warmer after that, because someone had said thank you to the thing that sang him to sleep.
