There was a cloud named Norman who frowned so hard it rained on picnics and birthday cakes. Norman thought frowning was his job.
One day a child held up a yellow balloon and said, 'Hello, grumpy cloud. You look like you need a hug.' Norman had never been spoken to nicely.
He tried a small smile. Just a drizzle of sunshine leaked out. Then a bigger one. The picnic below cheered.
Norman still rains sometimes — but now he rains rainbows, because someone was kind to a cloud having a bad day.
